Will these used SSIs fit my carbed 73?
I have finally gotten around to replacing my heat exchangers and was very surprised at how much the cost of SSIs has increased in the past year.
My 911 T has Webers. These are listed for 2.0 motors but I thought there was not a difference. I notice a port on the top of the right (in the picture) exchanger. Will these used SSIs fit? |

Yes they'll fit and a bunch of the cars through 79, some engines will take a few more washers to get the exhaust tight to the head.

You will need to block the hot air outlet on the left HE with something that will stand quite a bit of temperature. Some thick foil and a hose clamp should do. Welding it closed is an option, but it will reduce the resale value if the potential buyer has MFI.
