Question What would you mix with?

Hi Pelicans:

Before the winter, I did an oil change on my '83SC and replaced with Valvoline VR1 Racing Synthetic (bluish oil, black container). Now, after a bit of driving this season, I've topped off the oil a few times and I am out of the VR1.

I have plenty of Castrol GTX high mileage, and Valvoline VR1 Racing (grey container). All weights are 20W-50.

I was planning on using the grey container Valvoline for the oil changeout in the Late Fall/early Winter.

So, my question is: What should I use to top off the oil until I park the car for the winter:
  1. Buy more VR1 Synthetic Racing to take me thru the season (black container, pricey)
  2. Top off with VR1 Racing (grey container)
  3. Top off with Castrol

Thanks for the advice. I know oil discussions are not the most interesting topic, but I don't really know enough about oils to make an informed decision, and would love to hear from those more knowledgeable than me.

Thanks, Pelicans!

I would use the other valvoline product you have on hand...but really it makes no difference. They should all blend well together.
