San Jose area PPI question?

Has anyone in the Bay Area used C.T. Automotive in Campbell or Pacific Coast Motor Sports in Sant Clara for a PPI or service work?

Hi Matt, Don Wiese over at CT Auto.. is probably one of the most honest Porsche experts you will ever come accross.
His shop is impecable along with his reputation.
His techs are well trained and are willing to provide you with any type of information you request inregards to your Porsche.
I have known Don for about 20 years or so. The only work he's done for me has been some minor tranny work, four wheel alignments and corner weight balancing. I have been refering him to freinds, co-workers and family for a very long time. All feed back I have ever received has been top shelf.

Give him a call and you will see for yourself..

another vote for don @ CT, (formerly carrera tech). i was going to use him for my ppi but the guiy that had looked at my car prior to me had don do it. i got a copy of the ppi report (paid by previous perspective buyer) and called don and asked if i could pay him for his time to go over the report that had been done for the other guy. he said "i will not charge you if you dont mind waiting through phone calls" i ended up spending about 3 hours there rapping with him about all things porsche. he as targa dude said a great guy thats very knowledgable.

another place you might look into is RMG enterprises in sunnyvale. the owner robert grigsby is a great guy too. comper me a loner steering wheel so i could drive while i sewed my steering wheel cover back on. bob g. is the guy i use for repairs and info that i cant get here..

good luck on your hunt for the rig

Thanks guys .

I've already found the car. I just don't want to say what it is yet, and I'm still trying line all my ducks up. Not to mention where I'm going to park all my vehicles.

C.T. would be gret because it's only 10 mintues from the car.

One more vote for RMG. That's where I take my car. I found him via Bruce Anderson. I really like the way Bob runs his shop. He definitely knows 911s and can give you a good thorough PPI. Worth the drive to Sunnyvale.

Don't know if Jerry Woods' shop does PPI, but his shop is right there next to CT.

Don (CT) is a real straight shooter, does not push you for things you do not need. I once suspected my distributor had a problem, brought it in and he did not charge me a thing to check it out. Work I have done has been reasonably priced and I car pool with a guy with a 944 that uses him and is very satisfied.

Don and his mechanics worked on my cars when I lived in SJ. They were the ONLY shop with the skill & patience to do all the tuning needed to get a weber carbed car through a smog test successfully, then tune it BACK to where it ran properly..
Gets my vote any day....

Just had the car inspected by CT yesterday. Very nice people in there. Nice shop, and great selection of cars to look at. They even helped me out by doing the PPI ahead of a couple jobs, so I could get headed home earlier, to avoid the traffic ( which sucks!).

Oh and the car, recieved a good bill of health. I'll let you guys in on what it is, if it becomes mine.
