Saturday July 12, Tech Session: Painting a 911 RSR PCA tech session

Hi guys, next weekend we're starting paint on the RSR for our summer's tech session: here's the ad clip from our region.

July is usually hot, sticky, bright, and boring...hard to be motivated to do anything outdoors and now we don't have to. You're enthusiastic crew of perpetual tinkerers have organized what may be the most involved, indoor, AIR CONDITIONED, day-long tech session ever with at least three different sessions going on over the course of July 12th including:

- painting a classic Porsche 911, a Gulf Livery scheme on a classic Porsche race car (this includes a painting tutorial, materials overview, final taping, and painting)
- Cayenne GTS Brake Rotors and brake pad change
- Boxster S brake bleeding and securing on jack stands using a Liftbar
- Scratch fixing and wet-sanding, buffing for paint rejuvenation
- and a tutorial by our shop Host, Mitch Medford, as he walks us through his venture of converting classic muscle cars to electric power, including a possible demonstration and showing of an electric-powered Porsche 944!

This 8am to 5pm session will include drinks, breakfast, lunch, and air conditioning; all you'll need is some free time. We’re working to put the event up in ClubRegistration.net so we can get a headcount and also have a way to collect a suggested $20 donation to help us cover the costs.

Event is at Hudson Bend and 620: 3913 Double Dome Rd.

Progress: All older Dzus fasteners replaced with new Jegs Allen-key Dzus fasteners so less chance of gouged paint in the future: 51 fasteners, over 150 aluminum rivets, all pre-sanded & primed prior to installation.
