What Engine Is this? 2.2L T with Fuel Injection? Pictures inside.
I am about to procure what I thought was 1970 T engine but for some reason I am a bit perplexed. I consulted my redbook and found that the 2.2L 911 T engine should be carbd(this one is FI) and it doesnt fit into the range of engine numbers for that year... Any thoughts?

Yeah, CIS. But I'm bettin' that's a 70T motor. My 70T owned since new has engine no 6109122. Your engine is 53 nos newer. My 70 was mfg in May 70. Somebody pulled the carbs and manifolds and dumped an old CIS on top so the engine could be sold as "complete". Carbs and manifolds worth more than CIS.

Looks like it's missing a runner as well. Unless you're buying this as a core for rebuilding, you might be getting a Frankenmotor.

It appears to me that the CIS has just been tossed on top, probably was never connected- seller just wants to say they have a complete engine for sale.

6109175? is a 70T engine, w/Zenith carbs......originally configured for a sporto tranny. It appears that you do have a bit of a frankenmotor on your hands. Do a leakdown test to get an indication of the condition of the engine internals and if they are in decent condiftion, .....sell the CIS and source yourself some Webers, tune it up and go...........
regards, al PS: you never know...you might get lucky

Thanks for all of the feedback. It appears as if all of you are correct and I was planning on going with Webers anyway. Story is the engine dropped a valve so it is a "core" anyway. From my research i could sell the CIS for about what I am buying the engine for.
