Whistle while you WUR..
Hello fellow Pelicans..
A month or so ago I replaced my Warm Up Regulator in my 83 911 3.0 with a great deal off success due to the fine information here on the site. The rebuilt unit I picked up from another popular vender is doing quite well at solving the mechanical elements of my issues, however has introduces a bit on an anomaly, there is a 1k whistle coming from the unit. The sound is like holding down the # (pound) key on your telephone and is consistent from the time the engine is turned over to the moment it is shut off I used a stethoscope to determine that it was not the fuel line, nor is it apparently coming from vacuum line (I put a synch band on it and tightened just to be sure). The sound is actually emanating from the main body of the unit. But has not encumbered the operation at all. Has anyone ever experienced a singing WUR before? ********** 1983 911SC 3.0 1984 944-NA |

resurecting an old thread, but mine just started doing this also after taking it off and blowing out the mesh screen. I didn't even take it apart and now it's whistling. Could it be a slight vacuum leak coming from the nipple?
