can you provide a straight on picture of the whole fuse assembly? I have been knee deep into the wiring on my 80SC and will research where the black with red strip wire could be coming from. The power windows are associated with relay 5 and fuse 21 You will need to disconnect the battery and ohm out the circuit to see where the disconnect is if it is not the switches or motor that controls the operation of the passenger side window. That is assuming that the drivers side is fully functional.

The Anti-theft from the factory was a Black/Red but it does not show up on the fuse box layout.

Is that connection near the top of pic (black wire) wrapped in duct tape?

wire
Here are a few more pictures
Fuse #21 is fine, the drivers side window works great. The passenger side window would work and all of a suddent not work, then work again. I replaced all the windown switches that controll the passenger window and nothing That loose black wire/red wire was joined with a red wire then split, where the red wire wend to fuse #17 ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The drivers side switch (that operates the passenger window) toggled a bit wierd, so originally I thought the drivers side switch was the problem. I replaced it and the pas. widown still didnt work. So then I replaced the passenger side window switch, no change

Looks like the I connected the drivers side switch correctly its probably a ground issue.. ![]() |

I just checked the part number I have on the driver side passenger switch (02) and it is an older part that was superseded by the (03). The parts manual in PET calls for 3 of the (03) switches. Mine works with the one (02) switch so as they say "if it isn't broken don't fix it".

It seems my power window switch layout does not match the schematics. My system is functional but is color coded wrong between the driver side passenger switch and passenger side switch. I have corrected the below drawing and added the pin numbers to each switch. I will correct the wiring on my car to match the schematic.

I will have to take it to a mechanic, to see where the discontinuity is
dont have a voltmeter or knowledge for that matter to get this resolved |

Switch wiring.
![]() ![]() ![]() ^^^^^ I took these pics & these are the confirmed connections for our '86. ![]() If you only replaced the switches, please re-check the color codes/pins. Good luck, Gerry

Update:
the drivers window all of a sudden stopped working also. so both windows were out Determined that I wasnt getting any power to fuse 21. So i jumped fuse terminal 20 (AC Blower) and the Drivers window now works. The Passenger window was getting power. I stripped the door panel, and gave direct power to the motor. The window motor is dead. so I will have to replace that. |
