What wing is this??

I'm sorry for the 'newb' question but I did try searching for quite a while........

That being said; I was at a C&C Saturday and spotted this rear wing on an SC. I am not a big fan of aftermarket additions such as "wings" and "spoilers", etc but I really do like the look of this addition. Its subtle and really adds to the lines well without being to in your face.

I'm sure someone will know right away so I apologize for not finding it on my own.

That appears to be a 964 decklid with its motorized tail plus and aftermarket add on. Hard to tell from the photo but is the a/m piece "handle'' shaped? Only connected on the ends. Agree it looks a lot like a ducktail from the side profile. I wonder about the effectiveness of the add on part. When extended the 964 tail is horizontal. That would put the add-on almost pointing into airflow. -J

Being insanely fixated on lowering my AC temps... looks like that tail might push more air over the rear condensor (if that's possible.)

It is open in the middle and connected on either side. Dang; now I wish I would have found the owner......

There is data here if you search that says, yes, all the tails/wings do increase pressure over the grill area. Agree in theory that should put more air across a rear condenser. -J

Thanks for comment Jar. Just for kicks I wanted to see how air flows down the back of a 911...
