Wiring of ignition - how to fit immobiliser?

My 79 911sc has finally arrived and I feel like wanting to protect my investment with an immobiliser.
I found this better-than-nothing design:
How to Make a DIY vehicle immobilizer to stop car thieves « Hacks, Mods & Circuitry

Fitting it sounds doable enough from the description given.
I'd still appreciate if someone could point me to a wriring diagram of my car.

Regards
Daniel

How does it work? the video is a bit clueless, and what is a colictor?

I finally found the wiring diagram here G-Spot Technical Information

Interesting. Although once I found the wiring diagram I realized it could not understand the NZ Blokes english and so many new words!!

Why not just put a hidden switch somewhere? or a couple in series.

dont do anything to the start circuit, IE, the yellow wire to the starter. that circuit is already stressed and needs all the current it can get so putting in a relay or switch just makes it worse.
second, i would do anything to the wiring that cant be undone. you have a really great year for an SC and to hack up the wiring is a shame.
if you feel the need to disable the car for a length of time just pull the FP relay

a hidden toggle switch to delete the ground to the fuel pump relay works fine. easier on carreras because it's under the seat.

Thanks everyone for your replies!

Somehow I didn't get automatic alerts about replies this time around. But I finally went and looked whether no one cared and someone did!

Best
Daniel

The problem with immobilizers and vehicle alarm systems is that when your engine doesn't start, you have to also diagnose the immobilizer to eliminate that as the cause of the no-start. If it's a non-factory system, be prepared to encounter non-existent tech support. For that fact, I suggest using more simpler and more mechanical means to thwart attempted thievery.

As suggested, a hidden kill switch to the fuel pump circuit or DME is simple to bypass for troubleshooting yet somewhat effective to slow down a motivated thief. Mechanical/hydraulic devices to lock the brake pedal/brake circuit, steering wheel, remove steer. wheel, etc. are also effective deterrents including Independent tracking devices, e.g. LoJack.

A locked garage is better.

I like the old high beam type switch that was on the firewall above your left foot.
Wire the start circuit to the middle (switched) and one side to the starter....the other side goes to a BIG horn...lights...whatever.
When the switch is in the "armed" position...it will scare the hell out of a thief as he turns the key...or jumps the wire under the dash.
For myself...I prefer CZ gas...quick...clean...no blood...and when you arrive at the car...you just roll the body out onto the ground and drive off.

Bob,
Where can I get the CZ gas, and how do I wire in the canister?
Won't ricin or anthrax work as well? Gives them a false sense of security, for a few minutes/hours.

The idea is to prevent them from stealing the car...so quick is better.
CZ is mad of a compound of Cyanide and ZyclonB (the old german gas)...very effective...but the Cyanide works quicker.
Cyanide is easy to find....look in farm supply places...rat exterminator.
ZyclonB...good question...might try Suffield Alberta...chemical warfare station...but I guess they might ask you why you want it...LOL.
I try to go with the quick and definitive way of dealing with thieves...they get only one chance....no sense in allowing them to bother anyone else!
BTW....you might want to scope out a place to hide the bodies first.
Try to think of a place where no one would even consider.
Or...make friends with a slaughter house...one that makes sausage...LOL
Bob
