hpv-1 wiring ???

if you guys could look at these pics ,how have you guys seen theses wires routed, such as the red cable, etc. I'm pretty sure the red goes to my battery, and as far as these spark plug wires go it looks like each wire has a separate ground wire on them, I have looked over the clewett/hpv instructions but they really don't explain were to run the positive cable also hooking up the tach another mystery, I basically need some help here thanks guys!!

The easy part are those plug wires. The silver braided shield wires are attached to valve cover studs under the usual nuts. These are actually not something which is needed, as they were Porsche's attempt to deal with CIS airboxes blowing up, and it turned out that was due to something else. But you have them, so use them.

The big red wire on the relay is undoubtedly to be routed over to the starter, where it attaches at the same place as the big cable from the battery. The other side of the relay should hold the wire which delivers +12V to each of the units (wire Y'd). The relay coil will have a ground wire (anywhere), and a wire which will take 12V from your ignition switch up front.

Not shown are the Y'd wires from the toothed crank wheel sensor. I seem to recall the units have a separate tach sensor. If Clewitt's site doesn't have what you need, I am pretty sure that Electromotive's site will. Nothing complicated about the wiring.

You do know that one bank of coils is for the upper plugs, and one for the lowers? Don't mix them.
