I have Evo 2's in my '72 chassis. I don't see why they wouldn't, but you should check with a shop that builds Porsche race cars.
My next bit of advice, would be to make sure YOU fit the seats. I have Evo 2's, because the Evo is too small for me. If you get a seat that's too small, it will be VERY uncomfortable. They will bruise your hips and legs. Before you buy, find a local shop to you that sells them and will let you sit in them. Sit in them for about 15 minutes, or longer. You want to be snug, but if you get them too small, you'll regret it.

Agree, I also have the Sparco Evo 2's in my 72. They fit fine but they do fit snug. Like 1sik930 said test them before buying. I also thought they sat a little to tall. Of cours I'm 6'3".

I have Evo XLs in my '84, with Sparco sliders and side mounting plates. No problem with the fit, but all that machinery in the sliders and plates does make them sit tall. When wearing a helmet I have to remove all cushions to have enough headspace and I'm only 5'8". I've had some tall guys ride shotgun and they were cramped.

yes that will fit in the sc- but they will sit very high with side mounts and will fit very close to each other.
I did quite a few modifications to the interior body of my car to make them fit correctly, let me know if you want pics |

I have them in my '72 chassis and in an 87 chassis. They fit fine in the 87, the spacing is just a bit wider and you can use the Sparco mounts bolted directly to the slider mounts in the chassis, or ad sliders. In my 72 the way the sliders mounts or chassis mounts are configured (coming off the door sill and off of the center tunnel) the front of the seat is too wide to fit between. Not a big deal if you don't need a super low seat height. I made some brackets that mount the front of the seat just above the chassis mounts while the rear dips below slightly. I have ample room with a helmet, I'm 6'4" but I have a short torso. The downside (or upside) depending on your objectives, is that the seat is in a fixed position, no sliders. Only folks close to my height or leg length can drive it.
The other option is to do away with the factory mounts and fab your own. There are a lot of posts on here about that. Last edited by kojo911; 08-15-2014 at 08:03 AM.. |

Just a guess, but I think the OP may have been inquiring about the factory Mitsubishi Evo Recaros fitting into the 911 and not the Sparco Evo?
