Updated 86+ windshield washer nozzle HELP...

So I am trying to update my 84 nozzles to the new 86 and up style...I need to modify the cowl but was looking for a picture or some measurements of the hole where the updated nozzles go. The older style has a different cutout than the new type so I need file out some metal to get these to fit.

Can someone shoot me a pic of the updated "empty" hole in the cowl maybe with a few measurements so I can massage mine?

Can send some money for cold beverages your way

Thanks!

What I would do is get a nozzle and just see where its different and file away, if you are really neat about it you could test fit on a scrap of sheet metal and then trace onto the cowl. The real pita is access. The 87 on have heated nozzles, and they are expensive. Is it worth it?????

I have had the updated nozzles for some time - don't even remember what they cost? Its more of an aesthetics thing than anything...prefer the lower/flatter style of the late model. I think the 84 is a 914 part number...they just really don't go with the car.

I was just trying to get a picture or measurement from the updated nozzle hole as a point of reference to start with. A sketch our outline on a piece of paper would be best. I can then simply file away the material to match, its not much...

If someone doesn't put up a pic. for you during the day today, I'll pop a washer out of our 993 when my wife gets home tonight.

Will post pic and some dimensions.

That helps a lot - I assume left it to the windshield and right is down the hood?

Just make sure you seal it good, that will be a source of water intrusion on to your foot wells, ask me how I know.
