Help/advice for temp car storage in Boston
Hi Guys,
A bit of a long story, but the short of it is that I have a 84 911 arriving in Boston this week via transport. I will not be able to be there for arrival (I am in Canada) so the plan was to have it placed in indoor storage. My transporter was thinking Chips Transport in East Walpole (south of boston) as they have worked with them. That would be fine, but I am flying into Boston next Wednesday (Aug 27th) and figure picking it up closer to the airport would be the way to go. So does anyone from the area have advice on a good storage option near the airport? Is East Walpole easy to commute to from the airport? I need to balance extra cost of storage closer to the airport with the cost to commute to East Walpole, but in the end I would prefer convenience and security at higher cost. I just want to grab my car, hit the DMV, and start the drive home. Thanks for any help.

I had a car shipped to that facility and is just a big parking lot.
From the airport it will be 45 min to an hour taxi ride. Not the closest. And I don't think there is any public transportation there. I will call the parking lots around the airport for the airport and ask them directly if you can leave the car there. I can offer you my driveway which is a 20 minute taxi ride from Logan or a few hop in hop out bus ride of over 1 hour.

So there is a commuter train to walpole that goes from boston south station (and there is a dmv "near" the station that i will have to go to anyway).
Will still need to cab/shuttle to south station, and cab from walpole station to storage lot. Your driveway sounds easy as a 20 minute cab ride sounds easy. Pm sent |
