Arrow Have photos from "cars and coffee" but....

I have some great shots from todays cars and coffee, but to post them here I need to shrink them down to 2 X 1. Really small. Even when reduced to 72 dpi. I would like to know if you guys are aware of any free photo hosting sites. Free Yellow used to be great but is now gone. Any ideas?

Warren has mentioned this before. If you are using a Windows machine, there's a program called Irfanview that will compress the pictures so that they can be uploaded directly to Pelican, but are still a nice size.

Here's the link.

Hey Sean. How about e-mailing me some of those pictures. I'm waiting for the 1 hour photo place for mine, then I will scan them Monday and post them here. Had a great time today. Thanks.

Here are some of the pic I took. Would have had more, but the batteries were low. We had a good turnout and everyone enjoyed it. We took a road trip and did some exciting runs up ga 400 - We definetely need to do this again.

Click on 'Save As' ... then 'Options' ...

There is a slider for varying the compression.

After setting a lower number in the 20-35 range, then 'OK' ... and 'Save'

If the resulting file size is not small enough, just repeat the steps above with a smaller nimber. It doesn't take more that 30 seconds to resize, then check the result with Windows Explorer!

If you go into accessories and click you paint pic program. Bring up the pic and then change the size of it to 50%. After that save the pic. Go into the folder where the pic is and place the mouse on it, click the right button and click properties. If the pic is less than 50k, then you did it right, otherwise bring it back up in the paint program and change the size again. It works pretty good.

Just got my pictures back and they are really nice. I have to scan them to post them so I'll do it on monday at the office. We had a good turn out and the sentiment is that we would like to do it again. 4 of us road tripped afterwards into the country roads, up 400 and through Gainsville. Do I dare admit- We broke some laws...
Thanks again for a great day all! More on this topic to come on Monday...
Best Regards, Doug

This was a truly great day. Considering the events of the past week, it was a breath of fresh air, literally!!! The weather was perfect, 78, sunny, and no humidity. Always great to meet the personalities that frequent this board too.

Many thanks to Doug for providing the sugar and caffeine right before our drive. Needless to say, we passed a few cars on our triple digit sprint up north. My only regret is that I forgot my camera. Wont do that again.

Looking forward to the next gathering. Maybe we should join the Boxster group on the 6th. You don't think they'd mind a few old decrepit 911's tagging along, do ya?
