Post Clutch question.

I've been reading some of the posts about a hard clutch pedal and am now wondering about mine. My '87 Carrera has 74k miles, its original clutch and a hard pedal. But I have noticed no slippage at all -- it drives perfectly. Sometimes it sounds like the pedal cluster is creaky, as it makes a noise in that area when I'm starting out in first and all else is quiet. All this talk of buttery clutch pedals is making me worry. I had an expert test drive it with me at a tech session a few weeks ago, who said it felt fine to him. If I have no slippage, but my pedal is stiff, what does it mean? I've only driven two other 911's besides mine and that was a while ago. So I don't know how it should feel.

Unfortunately your '87 is a completely different beast from my '86. You can pretty much ignore any discussion of 86 and prior transmissions.
