1970 911T oil leak question

Trying to locate the source and fix for an oil leak in my 1970 911 2.2T engine.

I have the car up on stands and removed the heat exchangers. Its leaking from the passenger side valve cover, which is an easy fix. But there also seems to be some oil dripping from the front right (#6 cylinder) cylender head exhaust outlet. The oil was a bit overfilled. Could this be the issue? Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Get your oil level back to normal, wipe down the bottom of your case if you can and drive it for a week or so and see what's happening. Put some clean cardboard under your car to help locate drips/leaks if they occur.

I know I'm going to get flamed for this but, I've never lost any sleep over oil leaks in a 911. Unless it's a gusher I just change the cardboard. And I've owned the 70 since new. Another long time Porsche owner had a saying, "if there's oil in 'em, there's oil on 'em'. Just sayin'.

You would have to have a large oil flow into just no. 6 cylinder (and no others) for that much oil to migrate to the exhaust port (and without burning). I would suspect something like a worn valve guide or optimistically a worn valve guide seal. Do you see a lot of carbon buildup in the port? Spark plug inspected? Oil consumption? Exhaust smoke? Other cylinders? Compression test? Remove lower valve cover and see if you can make the valve stem move sideways (confirms excessive wear).

Suspect many miles on your engine, but that doesn't necessarily follow.

If the oil is over filled and the sump is full you could have some oil leaking past the rings into the cylinder on number 6 . If the exhaust valve is open the oil will make it's way out and into the exhaust.
How long has the car been sitting?

Its been sitting for about 8 months undergoing a restoration. It was running strong before taking it off the road, and not burning any oil, but i don't have much engine history since I bought it through an estate sale. I guess i'll try replacing the valve cover gasket & hope for the best!
