Headlights for longnose Strosek conversion?
Looking for opinions on an appropriate headlight to use on my longnose Strosek conversion.
Car is originally a 1972 911T that was modified in the 90s by the previous owner. Some cheesy fog lights currently occupy the headlight position and I'm looking to replace them with DOT legal hi/low halogen projectors or something similar for a reasonable price. Headlight opening is roughly 3 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide. Reference car photos from ebay ad in link below. My investigation leads me to believe the lights normally installed with this Strosek mod were PIAA 959 projector fog lights that have been discontinued. Those wouldn't solve my hi/low problem anyways. Right now I'm leaning towards a Hella 009998021 90mm bi-halogen projector that takes an H9 bulb. Link below. Still a bit more than I was hoping to spend, but cheaper than HID conversions or LED options I've seen. My Hella Lights :: 90mm Bi-HalogenŽ Premium Questions: 1. Anyone have experience with this 90mm hella? 2. Is there a bracket that will convert these flush mount lights to upright/pendant mount? Saw one for Hella's smaller fog lights, but not the 90mm version. 3. Anyone else have the goofy mini strosek headlights that can tell me what you are running? 4. Other thoughts/options? Thanks.
