911 Driveability problem

The car runs fine or has a problem, the problem/runs fine split is 50/50.

Hard to start, runs very rough as the petal is pushed down, misses a little running constant speed, idles slow rough and quits.
The problem is the same hot or cold.

The next drive its fine.

1987 911, non turbo.

Thanks,

Jack

I have an 87 - a few suggestions/ideas:

1) DME Relay
1a) Cylinder temp sensor. Has yours been replaced with the upgraded 2 wire sensor?
2) O2 Sensor. You can disconnect it in the engine compartment and see how it runs without it. Don't do it too long though, you might foul the plugs.
3) Gas Filter
4) Intermittent intake vacumn leak?
5) Air Flow Meter
6) Speed/Reference Sensor
