Post No Headlights - Help!!

I've been been running 100 w hibeams in my 87-911 for about a year with no problems. Lost one of the hibeam filiments then the next night lost all headlights, hi low and fogs. The hi beam indicator is on with the switch in both the hi and lo beam position. Fuses are good. Have not tested the relays but have swapped them around and the problem is unchanged.

I did replace the hi/lo turn indicator switch a few years back - but that was due to a mechanical problem in the switch and the replacement seemed to be text book.

I did have real nightmare under dash fire about 10 years ago due to a stereo installer routing wires that became bound up and eventually shorted in the heater control cables/levers - all damages wiring was replaced with a new section of wiring loom - thought all was okay.

Any suggestions before I panic? I would appreciate any suggestions, pointers, or similar past histories.

Thanks, Bob

Did you add a relay to the system? If not, you probably burnt the switch out.
