Wevo shifter install and adjustments
I just installed a wevo shifter in my 82 sc, I replaced the bushings but never did anything with the Coupler. My first test drive went good 1-3rd and reverse worked fine. Then I went for a 2nd spin and reverse was really tough to engage. I pulled out on the street and it's as if 2nd and 4th won't engage. Do I need to adjust the coupler?

I don't presume to know more about Wevo shifters than Wevo, but IMHO you'll notice 2nd, 4th and Reverse are all on the same "aft" lever direction. This might indicate an adjustment issue between the coupler and shift tube.
As with other shifter upgrades/adjustments , confirm the shift lever is vertical when in the neutral position. There's only so much fore/aft range of motion within the confines of the 915 shift housing. Any "in neutral" favoritism towards any direction reduces the travel in that direction. Sherwood |

Check your clutch adjustment very easy to do, and helped with my shifting woes.
I still don't have a 100% work every time coupler adjustment guide. |

Is the only way to access the shift coupler through the compartment behind the front seats? Can this be accessed from underneath the car? What's difficult is even when I go to make adjustments I don't know where I need to start.
