Ok, what is with all the Dr. appendages to names? They are sprouting up left and right from previous "non Dr." posters. Did I miss out on a thread somewhere?

I was wondering the same thing, Kurt...
I noticed it shortly after Lee visited (not that that's when it began, but just when I noticed it) ... and Cramer has a habit of calling people "doctor ______". I hope he's not responsible for this credential eSCalation.
If Kurt was some kinda lawyer, he too would be a doctor. J.D. ="Juris Doctor" but in a rare example of humility, lawyers don't typically employ the title -- except when they require their (younger) M.D. siblings to reciprocate. JP

Even the status of old Ferdinand ("That's Herr Professor Doktor Ingenieur Ferdinand Porsche, to you.") was based on an honorary deal from Vienna Tech, but he stamped it on everything he made.

Official movie of SCWDP: Spies Like Us. Why not just add the initials after the surname -- JD, MD, PhD, SJ, SC ... And Jack -- the Germans are (stereotype warning woop!! woop!! )absolutely crazy about titles; if you've got one, however ceremonial, you use it. JP
