Pomona Price check: how much would webers or a CIS cost?

Hey there,

for those of you who frequent the pomona swap meet, I was wondering if any of you had a general idea how much a set of weber carbs or a CIS system would set you back at Pomona swap meet. Thanks.

Noah's got it spot-on, except for 1978-79 CIS systems, which are harder to find and more sought after (because of the larger ports). These run $1000 or so.

Count on $1250 or more for a good set of rebuild carbs...

Paul:

I have a complete CIS system which I will cut you a deal on. I am not very knowledgeable about these systems, but a knowledgeable Porsche mechanic identified it as a 1979 unit which is the one Wayne indicates as being the desirable one. It is currently sitting in a box in the corner of my garage and it is complete with the injectors, air box, etc.

If you are interested, please send me an e-mail at richard.murphy@canji.com and you can stop by and inspect it to see if you are interested. I'm on the north side of San Diego.

Not to horn in on Rich's offer, but if you decide to go with carbs instead of CIS, I have a set of Weber 40IDA3C carbs and manifolds I'm not going to use now, so I may be putting them up for sale soon.
