Anyone Have An Example of a Build/Race Logbook?

I am beginning phase 2 of my RSR build. Wondering if you guys keep any sort of journal with receipts, work you did, etc. If so, would love to see how you set it up so I don't reinvent the wheel.

Thanks!

Interesting question. I've seen photo albums documenting restorations. Not sure of the value of receipts, except for mechanical parts. For example documentation of that fresh motor would be a good idea.

Any logs I have created were mostly part numbers and clearances.
Sometimes notations as to where you got parts cn help during following rebuilds.
Any info you want to include can help later on.
Also...if you decide to sell her...the buyer will be less inclined to talk you down with a well maintained log book.

It looks like Wayner had quite a bit of documentation. See post 24 http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/626050-saving-73-crusher-2.html
As far as body work and paint goes, if I were doing the work myself, and wanted to sell the car, I would keep a detailed photo album of every step. Receipts of the paint products would also be helpful. Fresh paint can be a red flag for any potential buyer. Nothing worse than a quick, cheap, paint job to cover a world of sins. The same could apply to engine work as well.
