Stuck front bumper shock
Must have gotten a love tap in a parking lot. Left side front bumper is pushed in slightly and did not pop back out. No scratches or damage to the bumper. I noticed it when I was washing the car. The black accordion piece is squeezed in a bit. Will a come along or something pop the bumper shock back out? (84 Carrera, Targa)

US car, or RoW? RoW had crush tubes, not shocks. They are sacrificial and need replaced after a bump.
If it truly is a stuck shock, I don't know what it might take to release it.

yes, you can pull it out using the method you describe. Frankly, I don't think they are worth replacing. They are single use, but are only designed to absorb a 5mph impact or less.
