options for chin spoiler?

What are my options for an 84 Carrera chin spoiler instead of the expensive factory part?

Pics are helpful.

I found one over on the used parts board that was new and never installed. I got it crazy reasonable. Naturally, you already know the wonder that is the used parts site.

How's that horn button looking?

I'm well and you?

I'd have to go back through and find my wanted post. A guy had one new that came with a car he bought and he sold it to me for a VERY reasonable price or at least I thought it was reasonable.

I bought mine back in January. I'm trying to find how much I paid but I doubt that will give you much of a baseline.

I'm good. Work is good, but busy.

That's great that you came across that. It would go on my stock looking 84. Although the motor is not stock, it has a hot rodded 930 motor in it and I will need some down force on the front without being obvious.

To balance the car at high speeds to avoid rear end lift, you need a tail, carrera or duck or even a turbo ( most will recommend the first two for their perceived proper look )

chin

I have the spoiler from a turbo, of course. They are way heavy.

Maybe you're looking at it all wrong. Define what it is you're after. Aesthetics, performance, weight, price, originality... whatever. But options there are lots of options. That may or may not be right for you is another matter.
