Not a dumb question at all. It works surprisingly well!
I guess I got lucky with my enclosure, because I can crank it up and get a real boomy, obnoxious bass if I want. Or tune it down and get more hi-fi sound, depending on the mood and music. Enough to drown out both wind and road noise at highway speeds. I guess the low frequencies transfer well through the body. It's a small car. In the early 90's I was a hang-around at the Norwegian car stereo crew, and always wanted a nice system in the car of my dreams. I agree that the engine sound is marvelous, but with long, monotonous highway driving or stop-and-go traffic it's nice to listen to some music as well. Why not both? :-) |
Are there any manufacturers that do a single DIN unit that has sat nav built in?

Can someone please post a link to the slim kenwood enclosed woofer that fits under the seat?
