Talking more HP?

Allright my 82SC is running like a champ the odometer just turned 200K. I know hard to believe and some say why putz with it, but if you know me
nothing can be left stock! I'm looking for more horse power I'm tird of stock rice burners with muflers putting up a good fight. I would like to just sloghter the little f***ing crap boxes off the map. O sorry it boils my blood. A little history on the car compression and leak down are
well into the factory specs compression is 175,165,170,175,175,170. This is dry not an oildown or wet test. The car runs smooth and pulls hard all the way to the red line. So I know, Why mess with it. What can I do to bring the HP up say 70 more hp? Don't sugest nitrous or small block chevy. I'd like to keep the cost to about 2K if possable! Most bang for the buck what do you say?

I think you need to move the decimal place to the left on your hp requirement or to the right on your budget. Speed is very much a question of money on 911s. If your car runs well use the money for instruction or track time. Alternatively save your pennies and either upgrade to a faster car or go for serious modifications when finances allow.

$2000 is not going to get you 70hp, unless

you use nitro, which I wouldn't. With $2,000. you can change your exhaust system, heat exchangers included. This may get you 15 hp. I think that's why most people on this board suggest using the money to really learn to drive the car. Its amazing how much faster you can get a Porsche around a road track by just driving the car to its potential. Guys that really know how to drive a 912 kick my butt around the track. There is probably about a 70 hp difference between my car and a 912.

I think you have issues that more horsepower won't solve.
