TRUSTWORTHY Shop near Orange, CA

Hey fellas....

I'm just looking for a referral to a shop that is near Orange, CA.

I need to find someone I can trust to do some work on my little ol' bucket of bolts.

She sits in the garage most of the time and I've known I need to give some attention. Finally decided to act.
  • Tune-Up (P-car is running pretty rough)
  • Suspension work
  • Odds and Ends minor work

I have had a few great referrals but I would really like to stay as local as I can but I would also like a referral from a shop that as been used by regular Joe like me.

(Canyon Racer Motorsports, TRE, Supertec ALL awesome shops but a little to far for me, if I cant find a close one it will be one of these)

I don't track the car, I don't beat the hell of of it...... just a Sunday Driver to take my wife out to get a bite to eat and a semi-spirited drive along some twisties.

I just have a run of the mill old little 2.7 911, nothing special.

I need some help fellas........ so I turn the the Braintrust here!

Have heard very good things about Aase Motors in Fullerton - Home | AASE Motors

They do everything from maintain street cars to build track monsters. A buddy of mine takes his 964 there and I will take my 3.2 911 there when she needs anything.

Good luck!

What's up with that enormous antenna ball?

A friend of mine is a long time client of Devitos in Orange for his 356 and 911s. I never used them but I he speaks so highly you may want to check them out.

I live in Huntington Beach and have taken my 911 to Trinity Automotive. They aren't Porsche specialists but they are good and honest guys which I'd take my 911 to anytime.

Modern Specialists in Long Beach. Great family run business. Has worked on 3 Porsches for me.
For suspension the best is Johnsons Alignment in Torrance

Aase Motors has been servicing my classics, modern Porsches, and race cars for 20 years now. Visiting the shop is like going to a Porsche museum. Go visit wiith a 12pack of Coronas around 4:30 pm and you'll be a customer for life.

Call Jeff. 714-992-2283

Suspension work - Daves Frame and Alignment in Huntington Beach. Best kept secret here as they usually do work for only race car teams and retail service shops.

I had my stock '82 911 aligned and they asked me how much oversteer do I want dialed in? He did a corner balance and alignment at reasonable prices with great results! I take all of my cars to them and never had any issues.

When I use to live in Costa Mesa, I had my 83 911 service at Newport Motorsports on Baker. Ask for Chris - Owner, they were not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. They know Porsches, give them a call.

You won't find better work or service than Aase. Visit any PCA event (especially SoCal) and check out the number of cars with AASE banners on the front window running hard and long. They know what they're doing, and have been doing it a long time. Jeff is a great guy and has kept my street car tip top since I moved to Irvine.

Aase is a good shop, went by Scott's today. They appear to be mostly a restoration shop.

Took my SC to Scott's when I first got it. You won't go wrong there.
Friend of mine took his '75 Carrera to Aase who not only fixed the problem he asked them to but found a problem with his brakes he didn't know about and another shop didn't find. Good guys in my book.
Both cars have been to Johnson's and again, you won't find better.
I've also used Dave's Alignment in Huntington Beach for my Honda. Good guy, does it the old fashioned way.
