Does anybody have a spare one of these?

While changing my O2 sensor on my SC last night, I discovered that the pin that the sensor plugs into is broken into a million little pieces. For those who have a hard time picturing this, this is the bakelite (?) plastic plug with a male pin sticking out of one end that the O2 sensor boot slips over and plugs into. It mounts on the DS frame rail about even with the aux. heater blower fan.

The dealer wants to sell me the entire harness for $200, and I can't find the part listed on Pelican's site. Any ideas? Anybody have a spare from a parts car lying around that I could buy? I just hate to pay $200 for one wire and a piece of plastic...

Thanks,

Brad

Choice 1: Go to the local electronics shop, get a 2 pin connector with crimps, make your own solution by cutting both wires off, and crimping on the new connectors. $5 tops

Choice 2: Call Partsheaven in Hayward, CA. Al may have something he can sell you for $20.

Choice 3: Pay the $200.

your pain, your poison.

Had the same problem on my 85 model. Was at Zims in Dallas and they had a used wiring harness and they gave me the connector.

I would try various wrecking yards or drop by Zims and positive that you can get one. Try to get as much of the wiring as possible as its not fun to splice the new one in the harness and more is better.

Brad --

Did you ever find the part you were looking for? If not, and if you're able to take a picture of the piece or sketch a simple line drawing of it, I can look through my box of misc parts and see if I have it available.
