TRE Backdate '65-73 Hood and Hood Crest ?

I am currently fitting the TRE Backdate '65-73 Hood on my '77, and was wondering if any of you who have used this hood on your backdate project also installed a hood crest/emblem?

If so, can you show me some photos of the underside of the hood after you installed the crest? It definitely requires some cutting on the underside in order to be able to access the speed nuts for securing the crest. I am unsure as to how much/where to cut. The crest will be a little too close to where the hood latch bolt recesses are on this particular hood.

Help....

Why not remove the studs and use emblem tape to attach the crest?

I already measured and drilled the two holes for the emblem pin.

The tape and crest will cover the holes and you will avoid additional work on the back of the hood.
