Sounds like a $20-$24K car to me, but it could be more and it could be less, but for your average nice driver...

Just helped a friend sell a 87 coupe this summer in the Houston area for $23k with no problem. White, 59k loads of extras and in good condition with records and such.

Unless you find the right buyer, that many miles, in this market, it would probably fetch $15K - $17K.

In THIS market (Houston), you would get your price. I went to Calif. to buy my 86 coupe because for the same money here, there were just scabby, rusty, fugly, crusty, abused, tired a$$ed hulks with Porsche emblems on them.
You California guys just don't realize how rare a low mileage 911 of any vintage is in other parts of the country.

Rare mileage is indeed rare anywhere. But anything over 100K miles cannot be reasonably classified as low miles. THerefore, you will be hardpressed to find someone paying that kind of money for it. THe 88 is a desirable model with the G50 tranny. But, right now (especially in Cal) people are losing their jobs (we have 8% unemployment here) and either not buying toys or selling them. That makes for a buyer's market. Prices are low.

Supply and demand rules. There are more cars for sale now in Atlanta versus the first of the year when I got serious about looking for and purchasing my cab. I think prices have dropped ~10% in the past 6 months around here. there are some nice cars out there for what I believe is still big money that are still sitting....but the right car is selling for the right money. I think in this market, if he can get $20K, he would be happy. he has already been offered $17,500 without advertising.
