Restoration for Blaupunkt - any suggestions?
I just scored a Blaupunkt CR but it needs some Restoration. I'm looking for any good recommendations on who to send it to for repairs. As we all know they are expensive radios and I don't want to send to just anyone.
Thanks in advance! |

No personal experience with these guys.
However I have seen their add in Excellence and Panorama. And others have posted using them in other threads. SW STEREO SPECIALISTS - European Car Audio Products |

Hey Pharris....if you find a good place for restoring your Blaupunkt CR let me know. When I bought my 79SC back in 2005 it didn't have the original radio. The original owner had replaced it, but couldn't remember if he kept it or got rid of it. I ended finding one on Ebay CR TYPE US, but it didn't have the extra multi-pin box that plugs into the back. I think it's for tuning the radio. The cassette part actually works. If you happen to come across the tuner box let me know. Thanks !

Dan88911,
I also posted this thread on the 930 page and got a very positive reply about SW Stereo Specialits. Sounds like that may be my best bet. |

That looks like an Aspen, not a Reno.

I have the original Tucson and amp from my SC I'd love to rebuild. The unit powers up but just makes a buzzing sound. I replaced it with a CDR-220 for now.

SVEIKS,
I've always seen the tuner sold with the radio and not separate. Send Mike Seer at Chromelondon an email and I'm sure he can get you one. |
