Sounds like my front windshield is loose........

Every time I go over any bumps or uneven pavement (pisser), the windshield shifts and makes my car sound like an Old Car

Now, I know it's loose, but I don't know if it was just not installed correctly, incorrect windshield, or seal is shot?

Any ideas?

Serge

If it is loose, you really need to address the problem (whichever it is) ASAP. If you don't already have it, a badly sealed windshield is inviting major rust into your dash and A pillar areas and you really want to avoid that.

Serge, if there's any question about the windshield being secure or not, easy enough to push it out and string it back in. That way you're sure. If you have never done a windshield, say so. Will explain.

Serge,

If you decide to remove the windshield, you will first have to remove the trim. I've found a way to remove the trim with minimum effort and little change of damaging it.
You will have to slightly lift the trim at the starting point (small aluminum clip) first. Then get a strong, thin rope underneath and gently keep pulling the cord.

Thanx to all for the responses!

Thankfully, I keep the car garaged when not in use, especially when raining (I don't drive it)!
I have read many "how to windshield removals" so not to worried, but thanx again for the help.

It really bugs me when it makes the "shifting" sound over every little bump, but I just have to bite-D-bullet and DO IT!!
