Need recommendation on dying leather seats - products, etc
I purchased a nice set of black leather 964 seats for my '74 911. However, my current interior is navy blue or dark blue. I'm wondering if anybody has any experience dying seats and I'm looking for a recommendation on a good product to use. If I can't get these seats dyed perfectly, then I will keep them black.
Also, if anybody has any tips on dying seats, I'm open to suggestions. I probably wont do anything until I thoroughly research the subject. Thanks! |

I haven't dyed my seats, but I used Colorplus products to dye my steering wheel, shift knob & boot from black to dark blue.
![]() Joanne at Colorplus was very helpful. I sent her my ashtray cover from the dash for her to match the dye to, although it would have been better to use something a little larger. I just followed the directions, using the cleaner and conditioner, then 3 coats of the dye. Pretty easy to use, and I'm pleased with the results. Just be sure to allow a few weeks to fully cure the dye before using the seats. After a summer of use, my steering wheel still looks pristine.
