Paint Code???
Hey gurus,
I have a '76 911. I would like to paint it the original color but the paint code is no longer on the door frame. It is in primer on the outside but I can see the original silver in the engine bay. Is there anywhere I can find color codes to compare? Was there only one shade of silver in '76? I think silver would look good. Thanx in advance, Jim |

Looks like there were 2 special order silver body colors. No standard silver. The color codes were Silver Metallic (936) and Platnium Metallic (944).

Thanx. That is a cool site.
Paint code look like it is L936/925 Silver metallic. I think that color would look great in contrast to all the red, black, or white cars out there. My apoligies to all the red, black, and white cars. Jim |

No. The birds are attracted to a freshly cleaned car. If your car is dirty and sitting outside for weeks on end they never **** on it. But clean that car and let it sit in the sun for five minutes and it will be "peppered" before you can get the shotgun out.
