Show me your dual out exhaust tips

I am looking for ideas on dual out pipes for another muffler I am about to try. I would like the sport look but am not completely married to it. I have seen some different variations of this look and would like an easy way (this thread) to get an eyeball on a few of them in one place. Please post pics of your dual outlet exhausts here and if not too inconvenient, please post the pertinent dimensions (pipe dia., length of pipes from bumper, distance between the pipes, etc.)

Thanks

This is an example of pipes that are too long, but you might be able to use it as a point of reference. I plan on cutting at least 4 inches off.

Here is a custom fab. Headers, 2 IN- 2 OUT Flowmaster, twin cookie cutter megaphones. The sound inside and outside is inspiring.

Those long tips are there for a reason.

butzi73, you might want to talk to some tuners prior to cutting 4" off those "shin whakers". I have been under the impression that the torque will drop the shorter they are. Does anybody know this for a fact? Does anyone have Dyno sheets for the short dual and long dual tips?
Bob

Here the mod'd stainless for the 67.

IMO difference in performance would be n/a

its not like changing intake runner or carb/efi/mfi intake trumpet/stack length

I have to agree with the previous posting. I've cut these sport mufflers apart and there is no performance TUNING going on here. They do drop the backpressure, just as you would expect of two large holes being cut into the casing of any muffler.

I just looked through the entire show me your butt thread and several exhuast threads. I am trying to find a picture of a dual rear exit (sport muffler style), but with 2.5 " pipes on a short hood car, with the outside of either pipe, lined up with the inside of the taillights. Make sense? Anyone got one like this. I am having a local shop fab up the exit pipes on a flowmaster type muffler tomorrow. My initial though was to bring them out just under the rear valance, so as not to cut the valance... Anyone think this will be too low or cause any other problems?

Also, is 2.5" (stock 3.0L) ok, or should I neck it down to 2.25" maybe?

Yeah I know, always tinkering... it's a disease...

At least this one has nothing to do with women's leather boots!
