Only 231 HP
New plugs, new distributor cap and rotor, new cat, Passed SMOG , AFM adjust and a few vacuum leaks sourced and fixed by Jim: (Draco A50G). As an ROW with a Steve Wong chip this thing is the tits. Fast enough to scare me.

Hated giving our sponsor $531 for a new Catalytic Converter, but the junk that fell out of it and the difference in back pressure after Draco A50G adjusted the AFM is like night and day. I mean it runs like a scalded cat now. I had 2,000 ppm of NOX and failed SMOG as a GROSS POLLUTER ,after with a new O2 sensor and new cat I had 25 ppm of NOx. (Allowable was like 660 ppm). Living in SoCal, I have to do the SMOG thing every two years, so I think I'm good for a few more years. Yeah, I think I smoked that Vic Elford guy at Willow Springs today.... NOT.

Hope to see you in a month or so. Two weeks in AU and NZ (Wellington for a week to be precise).
Los Angeles to Auckland to Brisbane to Wellington to Auckland to Los Angeles, $6,000, ouch. Glad I'm not paying it.

Sounds fun and we'll take the mighty SC
![]() I've booked those days (not that I do anything anyway hehe) to be your navigator so you don't get lost. I even know the home addresses of James Cameron and Peter Jackson so we could turn up with beers ![]() |

Curious about your back pressure statement. My '84 arrived cat-less. Put one back on and thought it was a lot quicker with the back pressure at low to mid revs. Probably lost something at the top end, but overall seemed much more responsive with the cat installed.
