can I use any of a salvage 2002 996
Local auction has a 2002 996, WP0AA29912S621799 coming up soon. front end hit, front airbags deployed, headlights and fenders ok. needs new bumper cover and trunk lid probably goes for less than 7500. has approx 97k miles, I can get a good front clip from a 78 SC. Anyone know how much of a fabrication problem in fitting an SC front to a 996 body

I thought for a second that you were going to graft the 996 engine/transmission to an older 911...

If it helps the 996 Tina that was stolen on "Gone in 60 secs" is an SC re-bodied to look like a 996. Back when 996 were expensive and SC were 10k. Go figure...

Width of the two is significantly different. And an SC clip won't be set up for radiators. It will cost you more then buying a running driving 996. That's for sure.
