well some further research found a tiny diagram in my parts book...
looks like it is a one piece bar with a metal plug on the end... how do you remove these plugs??? I assume after removal slide the bar out, slide the new one in....and lightly hammer the new plug in with a soft mallet??? ??????????????/ |

As long as they are spraying where they should, does it matter if they are bent a little?

Correct. Drill and tap one of the plugs (there is one on either side). Place a small socket over the plug, put a nut onto a bolt and screw the bolt into the plug through the socket. Turn the nut against the socket and keep turning until the bolt has pulled the plug out. Remove the oil line bolt, and the similar bolt at the other end of the cam housing (19mm I think) since these two bolts actually hold the bar in place. Then slide it out.
