Security /alarm system

Hello!
In my relatively recently purchased 86 911, there is a Security Products Inc. (model CS8801 SE), with its picture in below. The car did not come with any remote for this system. However, when I lock the doors, it become activated. I have already contacted the "Security Products Inc."; however, I was wondering if any one of you folks have such a system in his/her car.

Regards,
Zack

aftermarket car alarms really suck. they cause more problems than they are worth. (i did auto electric work on cars for a little while.)
the big problem with our cars is they usually splice into the already weak starting circuit. the start wire from the ignition switch to the starter is vey long and a lot of current is needed to pull in the solenoid. adding in connectors (usually cheap) and a relay adds resistance and can cause starting problems.

what i would do if i HAD to have an alarm is to put the start wiring back to original and just leave the alarm portion. but if you need to disable the car do it with the fuel pump circuit or the DME relay.
