Instructions for BMW oil temp switch?

Will be installing a new oil cooler fan, BMW low-temp switch, and a new foam seal as mine is currently none existent. Sometimes I hate projects like this because I get to one part (BMW switch) only to realize I'm missing one tiny part to get it to work right.

Does anyone have a writeup for doing this switch? I'd like to know exactly what I need and what gets plugged where as I don't have another vehicle to use for getting around if I forget something and need to run to the store. I'll just have to bike there.

I'm in the same boat - trying to get everything I need before taking out the fender cooler. In one of the linked threads, 86 911 Targa has posted a picture of a Nason pressure switch TT-F-3A-197R/QC (I think), that can be ordered from here -

Temperature Switch | TT | Nason Online Store

This switch will have 1/4 NPT threads, but the cooler has a 14 x 1.5 threads. I found an adapter bushing -

Sorry if I dragged your thread off topic.
