Engine Drop Clinic, Eh
One of our favorite Canucks is having an Engine Drop Clinic Saturday and I just think we should talk that up. The Blue Bomber should begin heart surgery with a bit of fanfare.
I e-mailed Doug to suggest he pressure wash the belly of the Bomber and then noticed in a thread that he had already done so. Doug did not respond, but I don't think its because he's pissed about it (here, the term is meant to have the USA definition). He's a pretty friendly chap. I think we will have sufficient non-flamable liquids there so that fire will not be a serious danger. Each attendee will be holding a can of fluid that, in an emergency, could be used for fire supressant purposes. Let's hope we don't have to use those containers that way. I suspect there will be enough digicam equipment there to keep The Board informed. I'm looking very much forward to it. I'd like to hear from some other Board members in terms of who is planning to be there, and for those who cannot, what kinds of photodocumentation you expect.

As much as I'd like to attend, Doug is a great guy, I don't get to see my kids enough due to my work schedule. We have a family event scheduled for saturday.
Sorry Doug!

Some people just have their priorities messed up. Putting children before cars.

If it is not too much to ask the powers in charge, could I please be allowed to make a humble request?
Can I get more than 48 hours notice of things like this happening? I understand that this request is awfully selfish, but with existing wife/child/dogs/house things to attend, I cannot pull something like this off on short notice. And dammit, I would really like to be there. I will go sulk in a corner and feel sorry for myself now.

Gary, Jasper; a solution for both of you is to meet us traveling guys for breakfast. The plan is to meet up at Pattys (not Petes)Eggnest in Lynnwood at 6:45am Saturday.

Well...I'll still be sleeping soundly at 06:45 island. Then I have to feed my baby boy breakfast ( see photo attached) and I'll be seeing you for morning beers at Zed's place round 10:00.
cheers

Gary, Hope you can at least make breakfast. (I'll bring a valvetool)
Jasper, cute kid. Though you may want to "change" him. . he may look happy in the picture, but he clearly has Pooh in his socks.

I just finished repairing my roof structural problem, tearoff and installing 32 squares of shingles. Myself. has taken a month to do. So, the trip to Canada is a rare day off. And darnit, I will probably have to drive four hours one way just to get there.

Sorry, I will not be able to make it. My daughter has been out of town for the last week so I will spend that morning with her.
I will have to figure out some other time to meet all of you.

Only in Canada do the playgrounds look so clean and safe. That looks like some pretty cushy rubber padding on the ground below the swing!
Here in the USA we prefer crushed rock with bits of broken glass mixed in. Poo in the socks... LOL...
