Newbie with 1987 Carrera has a few questions

Hi there, I'm lucky to be the new owner of this damaged 911. I just picked it up in Sthn California.
It's completely rust free and has 135,000 miles. And a clear title.
About 8 yrs ago it was in a crash that destroyed the LF wheel and suspension and fender, bumper & door.

It has been garage kept under a cover for 8 yrs and is great condition.

I have replacement suspension coming from Parts Heaven and I'm searching for another 17" cup wheel to match. I'm also searching for a drivers door.

Does anyone know what the hose is for that comes out of this vertical cylinder that is right behind the drivers front fender behind the door hinges?
The hose is damaged from the accident and I need to replace it..

Also, I believe it had an aftermarket front fender and horizontal support beam. Do you think a stock bumper assembly will attach to this bar?

Any help would be appreciated .. I'm just so happy to finally own my dream car and I will bring it back to its former glory here soon.

That is the AC drier and lines to the front condenser.

The front bumper cover does not actually attach to the actual bumper behind it, so yes, more than likely you can use it.

FYI that body kit updates the car to the 964 body design. I have a lead on a spare front bumper if you need it.

Thx for the info.
I guess I'll be buying that AC drier line. No way to put it on after the fender..
I already have a new front bumper and stone tray that goes under. But, thx anyway!

I have a fender too, just need a door now and 993 cup wheel.
I was told this car had some 964 update stuff on it, the interior has been updated too. It doesn't seem to bad though except the wing that I took off. I like the cleaner look without it.

You can replace that line with the fender on. It's certainly easier with it off, but not all that hard with it on. Getting the AC to work, if that's your intention, can be a major project by itself, so you may want to save that for later.

Thanks Barrpete
I may take it off and see if it can be repaired VS buying a new one.
And the car won't be driven much here in the summer anyway, so if I can get to it later then I may just postpone fixing it.
Thx for the info though

Here is the link, should you or another user be interested.
Porsche 911 C4 - Fiberglass body kit

I am not affiliated with the seller, and should anyone be interested I would make an aggressive offer as these have been for sale for a while.
