But I wanted to point out that there's a reason we only post the crazy-car links - we don't want the competition for the good stuff!

6 days left, and the Oregon lottery drawing is tomorrow night. I always wanted an early 911 hotrod, but not enough to modify my "virgin". This car? Hey, I'm going to go buy a lottery ticket!

At last, a decent Porsche on ebay! Thanks for posting the link, Greg.
It'll be interesting to see the bid trail develop on this one.

Crud gets sold on eBay, admit it.....

While I probably wouldn't buy a car over eBay, I still find it a useful resource for smaller items. Yeah sure there's a lot of crap for sale but every once in a while there is a rare part or item that I just can't find locally or through any other means. In the past, I've both bought and sold items and to this point have never had a problem. I'm not really sure why people bash eBay on an ongoing basis - If you don't like an item don't bid on it.

Regards,
Andrew M

Mike...just like you have your right to your opinion, so do I...If you dont like people responding to what you post..then dont post it. I am certainly not one to defend EBAy...My own personal experiences have been good. I have bought and sold many items some Porsche related and some not and have never had a bad exchange. I have seen some items go well over retail, but I guess that is what happens when you get a bidding war. I guess the good old American capitalist system at work.

I sold my Acura on eBay. Used the $ as a down on my Porsche. eBay is OK. I would also buy on eBay but would want to see the car before finalizing the deal, of course.

Beautiful car! Is it just me or did he fill in the fender mounted oil filler? I always thought that made the '72's just a little more interesting.

I'm pretty sure that this car has been on eBay a few tmes over the last few months. It was previously up for $35000 or so, iirc, and never got any bites. Looks like the owner has finally lowered his expectations a bit.

Gary, I noticed that and feel the same way about the 72s. Anyone recognize the old car in the background of the shot that shows the passenger side? Looks like a Austin-Healey of some sort.

It is gorgeous, but only 350 miles?! I'll never understand people that pour time and money into such elaborate cars only to sell them before the engine is run in.

Fraud rampant on eBoy? You would not believe the rip off artists in the watch arena.
On www.watchnet.com under "dealwatch" you can read about deals gone bad and outright fraud. If interested, take a look.
