911 sc
After a long ordeal I have finally finished replacing chain tensioners in my 80 sc.
It is buttoned up and ready to fill with oil and turn the motor over after a long rest. I think I need to disconnect the coil from the distributor to pump up the oil pressure before trying to actually run the engine. How do I know if everything inside has been coated with fresh oil before actually trying to start the engine? I sure do not want to cook something inside the engine. Thanks |

Pull the fuel pump relay and crank it over until you see the oil pressure light go out and pressure on the gauge.
