Ignition key light question
Since I'm not very electronically capable, but willing to learn, does anyone know of instructions and/or part numbers on how to build one of those light delay LED's that hang over the Key Switch?
I have a feeling this is 10$ at Radio Shack, But I just don't knwo what I need. The reason I ask is that while I'd love to have one in my 911, is that this woudl be a great way to get some practice soldering on something not criticle. ALso, there are a few other cars between my Dad and I where this would be great to have and I'd like to build some for them as well. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks! Chuck

I used Radio Shack LED's. I could not find a whitle light one, so I put one in that is blue. Looks a little "rice", but works. They also have yellow and red. Make sure the light you get from Radio Shack is 12V. Tried one of the other ones and fried it! I also installed a light delay that keeps it on for about 10 seconds after the door shuts - now that is a nice feature!
Sure beats the $79 I've seen them for in tha catalogs!

But..
Vance:
Where/How did you get the light delay itself? Is this something from Radio Shack or did you make it? Thanks! Chuck
