Front strut removal technique

Just thought I would share a strut removal process as it worked well for me. Tonight my front strut on a 71 was needed some extra encouragement. I have successfully used many of the other common techniques (impact, pipe wrench etc ) but this one seemed to work slick with the front fender removed. I used a pair of large channel locks and after adjusting them to to correct grip, leaned into them with my thigh pinning them against the front tub of the trunk. Works slick on both sides to safely break free the top nut and ultimately help remove the nut. No damage to the strut carefully using this method. Hope it helps. Thanks
