oil level failure

computer shows no-low oil level after oil change and refill.
any way to get a true oil level reading ?

I don't want to over fill it, nor do I want to drive with no oil reading on computer. No drips or leakage under car.

Gotta love a dip stick.
My wife's 2014 Mini Cooper S doesn't have one either.....so you need to drive for 30 min to warm it up before checking level by the computer. How stupid is that BMW?

Damn computers are everywhere. My 1970 911 is my hideaway from them.

My BMW motorcycle is the same; drive until the engine is at operating temperature, turn off the engine, wait about 5 minutes, and check the level on glass eye.
I miss my 1970s Japanese motorcycles simplicity: dipstick!
