Brake identification/question
Hello all,
I have been considering upgrading the brakes on my 70 911 and have been keeping an eye out for calipers. I came across these through someone I purchased some other parts from. They "think" they are early S calipers, but they look a little unusual compared to what I've seen elsewhere. Being new to this and out of my depth, I thought this would be a good forum to ask. Anyone know anything about these? ![]() ![]() |

I should add that even if someone tells me they've been doing this a long time and have never seen brakes like this, it would be helpful. Would suggest they are for some other car make...
Thanks! |

Looks like 356 or really, really early 911 calipers. Later calipers don't have those ribs.
Eric Shea at PMB Performance is the guy to call though. Shop PMB - Catalog He knows everything about early brakes.

Thank you, that is really helpful...now that I see them the ridges do look a bit like the very early ones or for 356's
