Glasurit Single Stage Paint

In the process of having my 71 Bluto Orange coupe painted and would like to use the Glasurit single stage. Painter says he can only get two stage 55 not the 22.
I'm in Virginia. Any suggestions or help in finding single stage would be helpful.
Thanking you in advance,

I do not know where you can get the Glasurit line 22 paint as I am in the other side of the ocean, but just want to enforce that you should get the line 22. Here is the formula:

That is what I used to paint my car two years ago. I am pleased as it matches the original and it looks great.

Blutorange/Tangerine, some people (myself) say it is red but others say it is orange. It really depends on the light. Here are a few pics of mine:

I had the same issue getting my hands on single stage slate grey. I had to go straight to a BASF(they own Glasurit and other brands) paint distributor and have them mix it up for me.

I just did a quicksearch on the website and it looks like this is the place closest to you:

BASFrefinish

NATIONAL COATINGS & SUPPLIES INC
296 N Witchduck Rd
Virginia Beach, VA 23462-6522
(757)499-5493

Good Luck!

22 line is a Solvent Based 2K and is tricky to find.

We see it being promoted every year in Essen but can't find a supplier with a mixing scheme in the UK.

We have been using solvent based paint from PPG as an alternative and it gives very good results and colour match.

I used DELTRON(R) brand single-stage DCC CONCEPT to refinish the front bumper, headlight rings and mirrors on my black 83 and was happy with the results.

I just looked at my paint receipts, The paint store actually had me go with BASF UNO HD line over the Glasurit. I'm sure there was some cost savings. They still were able to match the original slat grey color #6801. The final product was amazing! The painter said t was much easier to work with too.

Paint Brands R-M® Uno HD

I assume 2-stage means modern with clearcoat? What about Porsche's metallic colors, were these also shot in 1-stage back in the day?

The slope is not slippery; in fact it is entirely frictionless.

They were cleared at the factory. I do not know the Glasurit paint line.

Thanks guys for the compliments.
Rusty, I too had difficulty in getting the Glasurit single stage paint locally, I had to order it from a company in the Netherlands that restores Porsches and sells parts. I bought a set of Glasurit brand materials: 3 liters of paint, 1 liter of hardener and some thinner. Before buying, I ordered a painted metal sample for me to evaluate, which turned to be useful as the paint shop used it to match and order other brand of paint for painting the interior and the underside of the car ( maybe the engine bay and the trunk was also painted with this other brand but I am not sure).
